OUR STORY

Escape the everyday.
Recharge the mind.
One mindful journey at a time.

At Passport Meditation, we believe true wellness doesn't require a plane ticket — just an open mind and a few intentional moments. Our corporate wellness meditation app fuses the transformative power of guided mindfulness with the wonder of virtual global travel, creating immersive experiences that transport users to serene destinations around the world while guiding them through meditations, breathwork, soundscapes, and reflections designed to melt stress, sharpen focus, and nurture lasting well-being.

Whether you're an individual seeking calm amid a busy life or a company investing in workplace wellness programs, Passport Meditation turns "getting away" into a daily, accessible practice — right from your desk, phone, or home.

The Vision: Travel + Mindfulness

Imagine closing your eyes and instantly arriving on a misty hill in Mysore listening to temple bells ring in the distance, the gentle rustle of leaves syncing with your breath... or floating in Sydney Harbor watching seagulls at play while a soothing voice guides you through gratitude and release.

This is the heart of Passport Meditation: We combine evidence-based mindfulness techniques (rooted in practices proven to reduce burnout, improve resilience, and boost productivity) with vivid, culturally respectful audio-visual immersions of real-world destinations. No jet lag. No passport required. Just profound relaxation and renewed energy.
Born from a deep love of exploration and a firsthand understanding of workplace stress, our approach stands out in the wellness space:
Destination-driven meditations
Corporate-focused tools
Holistic integration
In a world where burnout is at an all-time high, we’re here to help people — and teams — rediscover balance through the joy of virtual “travel” meditations.

Meet the Founder: Emily Szajda

Chef, Author, Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, Sports Nutritionist, Adventurer, and the Visionary of Passport Meditation

From a small town in Iowa to high end restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona, Emily moved abroad to Belgium in her late 20's, one of her many adventures across continents, to find a transformative experience that would have a big impact on her life and career trajectory. Emily has always lived with one foot on the road and one on the yoga mat. Her journey is a testament to the power of blending bold exploration with deep inner work. This is exactly what inspired Passport Meditation.

Raised in the American Midwest, Emily felt the magnetic pull of distant horizons from an early age. She dove into the high-pressure world of corporate management and professional kitchens, where long hours and intense demands tested her limits. In the midst of it all, yoga and meditation became her anchors. What started as tools for survival quickly evolved into a life-changing practice. She went on to become a certified yoga and meditation instructor, sports nutritionist, and author of Big Time Journey of a Small Town Girl and Culinary Travels | Memories Made at the Table, weaving together Eastern wisdom, nutrition, and real-world resilience.

The idea for Passport Meditation was born from Emily’s own experiences — witnessing colleagues (and herself) struggle with stress, burnout, and the challenge of finding calm amid constant motion. Drawing on her background in wellness, corporate training, and global living, she created Passport Meditation to make transformative, travel-inspired mindfulness accessible to everyone — especially busy professionals, managers, and teams.

Today, Emily leads the creation of immersive guided sessions that feel both grounding and exhilarating. She partners with companies to deliver customized wellness programs that produce real results: reduced stress, sharper focus, stronger team connections, and a greater overall sense of well-being.

When she’s not developing new content, recording sessions, or steering the business forward, you’ll find Emily exploring new cultures (passport always in hand), crafting globally inspired meals, flowing on her mat, or enjoying quiet moments with her family.

When she Her mission is clear and heartfelt: Help the world pause, breathe, and travel inward — one mindful moment at a time.
